Hello, thanks for sharing your thoughts… I’ve come to the same conclusion myself, preparing the lessons for the next school year (I live in Italy and I’m a teacher). It’s very interesting the parallelism between what you wrote and what Polybius taught the Greeks while they were losing their influence while the Roman Empire was rising. The parallelism I’m talking about is my own opinion, of course. As a Doomscoller/Pollyanna 80/20 myself, I could really relate with everything you wrote. Thanks again!
